Student Conduct, Hostel & Library Rules

Student Conduct & Attendance

  • Students must follow the academic calendar, internal evaluation schedule, and code of conduct.
  • Attendance is tracked via two midterms and one model exam per semester.
  • Leaves must be applied as per college rules; excessive absence may incur penalties.

Hostel Rules

  • Hostel admission requires a signed form from the parent/guardian.
  • Hostel fees include admission, caution deposit, rent, and monthly expenses.
  • Food timings must be followed; guests are not allowed in the hostel.
  • Curfew is strict; use of electrical appliances requires permission.
  • Smoking, alcohol, and similar activities are strictly prohibited.
  • Students must maintain cleanliness and respect hostel staff and peers.

Library Rules

  • Silence must be maintained at all times.
  • Personal belongings are to be kept in designated areas; ID cards required for access.
  • Open access system allows users to access shelves directly; non-circulating materials cannot be taken out.
  • Mobile phones and audio devices are prohibited inside the library.
  • Damaging books or marking them is forbidden; recalled books must be returned immediately.

Governance & Administrative Structure

  • The college operates under the Tamil Nadu Private Colleges Regulations Act, 1976.
  • The Governing Body / College Committee is the apex decision-making body, including President, Secretary, Principal, staff, and university representatives.
  • The Principal is the administrative head responsible for day-to-day operations.
  • Academic Council / Staff Council assist in policymaking for academic, evaluation, and departmental matters.
  • Decentralization allows committees to execute academic, administrative, and student support functions.
