The Department of Botany, established in 1972 by the Kandaswami Kandar Educational Trust, boasts a rich history.
Upgraded to offer postgraduate courses in 1981, it has since expanded its programs to include M.Phil (since 1983) and Ph.D. (since 2010) degrees.
