Since the inception of the college, the English Department remains the keystone of the humanities at Kandaswami Kandar's College. The English Department has an elongated and illustrious history and vivacious present. Established as the language department to cater to the needs of PUC in 1962, the department started offering B.A English from 2000 onwards. The department expanded its facilitating skyline by introducing M.A English in 2011 and Research Programmes later. With a vision to provide excellent education with an ideal equilibrium between creativeness and critical inquiry in the field of literature, the diligent and assiduous faculty members of the English Department strenuously exert their skills. The department aspires to facilitate the poor, underprivileged students to become effective communicators by taking into account the vagaries and vicissitudes of language.
