About the Alumni Association

Alumni Association of Kandaswami Kandar’s College, Velur (Regn. No.: SRG/Namakkal/63/2023 Dated: 08-06-2023)

The Alumni Association of KANDASWAMI KANDAR’S COLLEGE, VELUR aims to bring together former students under one forum for exchanging experiences, sharing knowledge, and promoting fellowship. It also seeks to advance scientific knowledge, support the welfare of students and alumni, and contribute to the development of the college and community.

Aim & Objectives

  • Bring the old students of KANDASWAMI KANDAR’S COLLEGE, VELUR under one forum for exchange of experience, dissemination of knowledge and talents amongst its members, and further fellowship.
  • Conduct seminars, conferences, workshops, endowment lectures, and academic activities while keeping in touch with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Create and establish Alumni endowments for scholarships, prizes, and medals, and honor former students.
  • Advise and interact with government bodies, universities, and associations on higher education, training, and management systems.
  • Collect funds through subscriptions, contributions, donations, and gifts for college infrastructure and objectives.
  • Provide financial aid to deserving students and alumni in compassionate cases.
  • Publish magazines, souvenirs, and newsletters highlighting the college and alumni activities.
  • Organize cultural and educational programmes and annual Alumni Day celebrations.
  • Provide guidance to alumni on technical problems and job opportunities.
  • Carry out other activities necessary for furthering the above aims without monetary gain.
