The Department of History was started in the year 1981.
The Department was established as the allied department to cater to the needs of B.A Economics 1968.
It is one of the oldest departments in the college.
The department has been upgraded to offer postgraduate courses from the year 2000.
The department was headed by many renowned faculties, and the heritage still continues.
AIM :
To equip graduates with a deep understanding of history, fostering an appreciation for our country’s heritage and providing context for the present and future.
OBJECTIVES :
To impart knowledge of historical events alongside an understanding of traditions, cultural experiences, and historical development.
To prepare students for professional opportunities in various fields and cultivate lifelong learning through skill development.
