Over the years, it has grown into a renowned department known for its commitment to academic excellence. Offering comprehensive UG, PG, and Ph.D. programmes. The department has consistently produced outstanding students who have excelled both academically and in various extracurricular activities.

AIM :

The Department of Economics at Kandaswami Kandar's College, Velur-Namakkal, aims to cultivate a deep understanding of economic principles while fostering critical thinking and analytical skills among its students. Our goal is to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools to address real-world economic challenges and contribute positively to society.

Objective :

The Department of Economics at Kandaswami Kandar's College, Velur-Namakkal, has several key objectives. Firstly, to provide high-quality education in economics at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Secondly, to foster a research-oriented environment that encourages scholarly inquiry and innovation. Thirdly, to promote interdisciplinary learning and critical thinking skills among students. Fourthly, to facilitate professional development through internships, workshops and seminars.
