Department of English

Since the inception of the college, the English Department remains the keystone of the humanities at Kandaswami Kandar's College. The English Department has an elongated and illustrious history and vivacious present. Established as the language department to cater the needs of PUC in 1962, the department started offering B.A English from 2000 onwards. The department expanded its facilitating skyline by introducing M.A English in 2011 and Research Programmes later. With a vision to provide excellent education with an ideal equilibrium between creativeness and critical inquiry in the field of literature, the diligent and assiduous faculty members of the English Department strenuously exert their skills. The department aspires to facilitate the poor, underprivileged students to become effective communicators by taking into account the vagaries and vicissitudes of language.

AIM :

To elicit the inherent virtues in every pupil to see themselves as professionals, as part of a discipline with skills and abilities valuable in the business, teaching, and publishing.

 
 

Objective :

• creating avenues to gain access to the propagators of knowledge, • Providing platform to appreciate and practice. • Pursuing every student to reach his/her altitude.
